Hello,
My name is Shirlanna J. Little. I am a 20 year old Sophomore majoring in Industrial Engineering. I reign from the Outstanding town of Okmulgee, Ok and I absolutely love the University of Oklahoma. Currently, I am the middle child of 7 and I am the only one in college. While at home, I attend the Eastside Baptist Church under the direction of Pastor Eddie M. Davis Sr. and then at school, I go to Fifth Street Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Pastor Byron Coleman. Studying the Bible, singing in the choir and just growing closer to God, in general, is a great passion of mine.
I chose to take the Introduction to Women's Studies Course because, my great friend, Kristina Jackson, talked me into it. She kept going on and on about how amazing this class was and how I would actually love going to class. So, with great respect for my friend's opinion, I decided to switch my Western Civ to the Intro to Women's Studies Course. I am really excited to get started.
Five Questions that I would like to answer for myself is:
1) How did Women impact how we live today?
2) Are Women equal to men?
3) Could a Woman ever be the President of the United States?
4) Why are Women looked at as a sex symbol in music videos, movies and even in the Work
Place?
5) When will Men treat Women with the utmost respect, no matter the age or maturity?
I really look forward to the class, this Spring!
